German Open before French Open
The best French players in Mülheim
Several French players will be in the men's singles draw with Christo POPOV, Toma Junior POPOV, Alex LANIER and Arnaud MERKLE. An opening match between Toma Junior and Alex promises to be exceptional in the first round. Lucas CLAERBOUT, in the qualifying draw, could join his teamates in the main draw. On the girls' side, QI Xuefei and Léonice HUET will represent France in the singles, while Anne TRAN and Margot LAMBERT will be seeded 3 in the doubles and will be looking to win the title. In the men's doubles draw, 3 French pairs will play with CORVÉE/LABAR, POPOV/POPOV and ADAM/ROSSI, with tough matches from the start of the competition. Finally, in the mixed doubles, Thom GICQUEL and Delphine DELRUE, who were absent in this competition, will be taking part in the Paris event.
International players already in Europe
Many international badminton players have already set off on their European tour, aiming to pick up valuable points in Germany in the race for Olympic qualification. Among them will be Mülheim's CHOU Tien Chen (Taipei), Ratchanok INTANON (Thailand), the Danish pair Maiken FRUERGAARD/Sara THYGESEN and the 2021 World Champions Dechapol PUAVARANUKROH/Sapsiree TAERATTANACHAI (Thailand) and KIM/JEONG (Korea).
After Germany, France!
After the Super 300 in Germany, the players will head straight to Paris for the Yonex IFB, from 5 to 10 March. The international circuit will then continue at the Orléans Masters (Super 300), from 12 to 17 March.
