XD - Semi Final - Asia or Europe, that is the question...

Last rendez-vous was 3 years ago between these two pairs. They both obviously progressed much since last time.  HUANG/ ZHENG are more dashing on their attacks while the Germans got more meticulous on their front net skills.  At 15/15 key point at the first game, the Germans started to make more mistakes. With a lucky net shot from ZHENG, the Olympic silver medalists took the first round 21/16.  HUANG’s back hand front net smashes made it more difficult for the Germans to react in time. 4/11, not an absolute beautiful start for the Europeans. Punch clears and sudden drops kept driving the Germans around on court, but they stayed focused in their game and kept chasing up. 20/15, match point! The Chinese did not hesitate to finish the last point of this match. ZHENG/ HUANG, see you tomorrow. 

The French Open’s shiniest back-horse pairs, it was everything about the ambition.  

The Indonesians eliminated French rising-star duo yesterday while the Dutch wiped out their Korean fearful number 5 seed.  They had been fighting so hard to deserve a final match ticket.  21/17 for the Indonesians at the opening game. The victory was still leaning towards the Indonesians until… they started to make more unexpected mistakes. Turning over the situation, PIEK/ TABELING won back their second set 21/13. The dutch pair won the third set 21/12... They will fight their Chinese rivals ZHENG/HUANG for the champion of this year.
