XD - Quarter final - Will the French dream pair keep writing legends?

While waiting for Thom and Delphine at their match at 5:30 pm, Germans locked firmly their ticket to the semi finals alongside the Chinese ZHENG/HUANG. This year’s semi-finals will be quite international.

An opening match between Europe and Asia. The Germans had definitely studied hard about their rivals. The scores from both sides would not loosen up. LAMSFUSS became much more aggressive on his attacks and this helped his pair gain some good points. 21/16, the Germans brought this match to its last round. Final game , the Germans were holding a solid advance of 5 points, but the Chinese kept chasing up. HORAU’s front net skills got better and better. Final score : 15/21 21/16 21/18 for the Germans.

ZHENG/HUANG had an unexpected quick win against the strong Japanese rivals

The Chinese added another victory to the head-to-head history against this Japanese pair. First game was pretty easy for the world number three 21/10, and their good performance lasted until the end of the match: 21/8. “We did not really expect we could win that easily, I think we were lucky our opponents did not play too fast and did not cause us much trouble today.” ZHENG/HUANG shared with us after the match.
