WD - Day 1 : Already 6 intense matches….to be contined tomorrow

The  Vikings are ready to  attack

With their  world ranking 30,  the young Vikings (A. BOJE and M. POULSEN) started the opening game  sparing no effort.  During  the first  half of the game, the Malay pair C .S LIM and V.HOO had a quick  lead  of 4 points. However, the fierce  Danes managed to catch up during the second half of the game 21/12 .The opening  game seemed to be relatively  easy for the young Danish pair. The second one did not cause them much trouble either: with a fatal jugement indecision from the Malay pair,  this  first encounter between  the  four young players  ended  with 21/14 as the final score .

STOEVA sisters  VS   Chinese Taipei young  pair

The STOEVAS are, in some sort,  home based players  for the French Open.  Playing in Issy les Moulineaux  Club, the Bulgarian sisters Gabriela and Stefani quickly activtated their  full energy   for  the  first game 21/18.  They  had some trouble for the second one.  12/10,  13/11… finally , the Taiwanese pair (YC. HSU and LC HU)  secceeded   dragging their  opponants  to  the final game. 21/8,  with no doubt , the two sisters were determined to send  their opponents home.

Thailand VS  Denmark , again...

World top 10 pair from Thailand J. KITITHARAKUL and R. PRAJONGJAI,  offered their first show during this years’s  French Open.  Fortunately, their tight agenda of these past weeks  did not wear them out .  The logic has been respected . 21/16 and 21/12.  Within 37 minutes, the Thai sisters ended the journey of their opponents : J. FINNE-IPSEN and M. SURROW from Denmark.

Other results : The Canadian pair K. TSAI and R. HONDERICH witnessed their victory in this first  round 21/17, 21/12,  it took the world number 22 pair only 36 minutes to  knock out their first opponents ( K. Marran and H. Ruutel) from Estonia.

Next, the Indonisian pair N. MARWAH and P. SYAIKAH eliminated their competition rivals A. MAGELUND and F. RAVN from Denmark within 54 minutes ( 21/16, 21/16)

Last but not the « easiest »…..the Spanish pair, C. AZUMENDI and B. CORRALES finally had to pack up after the first day’s matches.  21/17 and 21/19, with a very close score for the second set,   the  Danes ( M. FRUERGAARD  and S. THYGESEN , N°16)caught the last train to their next stop of this year’s French Open.
