The World Tour schedule changed again
The Badminton World Federation (BWF) announced new changes to HSBC BWF Wolrd Tour schedule. These changements have an impact on race to Tokyo, which finally goes to middle of june.
The BWF updates dates of next tournaments :
- CELCOM AXIATA Malaysia Open 2021 (Super 750) : 25 – 30 May
- Singapore Open 2021 (Super 500) : 01 – 06 June
- Indonesian tournaments, expected for June, will be reported to another date.
The German Open (9-14 march) was already cancelled.
The Olympic Qualifying period for the Race to Tokyo will now close on 15 June 2021, with the last tournament counting for qualification being the Singapore Open 2021.
The HSBC BWF World Tour will take place in Europe in March, with the Swiss Open (Super 300) from 2 to 7, then in England with the All England (Super 1000) from 17 to 21, before being in France for Orléans Masters (Super 100), from March 23 to 28.
