THe crowd gave a warm welcome to the French players Delphine Delrue and Lea Palermo. They are really young but ranked in the 40 best women’s double players in the world. They were opposed to the players from Chinese Taipei HSU / WU. In the beginning of the match, they mainly played cross shots which led to a very close game. They used all the support given by the French crowd but lost the first set 20-22. They were led in the second set that they lost 21-14. After the match, they said : « Right now we just feel a lot of frustration and disappointment knowing that we could have won the first game. We were too tensed during the second set but we are going to keep working hard and learn from this defeat ».

The Asian domination is still very influent in this category and that was clerly shown by the match opposing the Danish pair Boje/Lundgaard to the Koreans HEE / CHAN, seeded number 7. The danish pair appeared motivated to do their best but they lost the first set 12-21. Hee and Chan won the second set without any difficulties.
