Here we are, the French Open has officially started and some events unexpected happened, especially in the men’s single draw.

Talking about the Men’s Single draw, the Indonesian phenomenon, Anthony Sinisuka Ginting was the first surprise of the day. Indeed, the China Super 1000 champion lost his first round here in Paris against Kantaphon Wangchaoren, a player from Thailand. A disappointment as he seemed to gave up the 2nd set. 22-20 21-12.

Great come back for Vittinghus

Regarding the Danish player, Vittinghus played his first match facing Mark Caljouw. The Danish managed to reach the 2nd round and it was well deserved ! “I had some bad results recently but I fall only to rise again ! Passing the 1st round in such a great city as Paris really motivates me to keep going.”

The Denmark Open finalist Chou Tien Chen couldn’t do as well. He seemed physically tired and couldn’t make it to the 2nd round as the 21-year-old Danish Rasmus Gemke played better this time.

The world no 2 made his entrance on the court this afternoon. The Chinese player Shi Yuqi managed to win his 1st round in Paris quite easily. The title holder is willing to reach the Final once again. He went through his first match in straight games, 21-14 21-16.

One French player was playing today after Viktor Axelsen withdrawal.
