First round MD : Suspens... and a great show !

The men's doubles draw is mostly known throughout the world to be one of the most spectacular part of the badminton game. And the first day of the french competition confirmed that.

The world no 2, the Chinese pair Li Junhui and Liu Yuchen won their first match in straight games against an Indian pair. The 2018 world champions are still on track to win a their first “Super 750” title in Paris.

The Russian pair Vladimir Ivanov/Ivan Sozonov faced the tough Japanese pair Takuto Inoue/Yuki Kaneto, world no 9. They lost the 1stgame in pain, 21-13. They had to react fast.
