They will be there !

The list of players that will be in Paris from October 23th to 28th has been published by the BWF. Get ready for an amazing show !

Men's single

Apart from Malaysian star Lee Chong Wei, who announced during summer having some respiratory issues, all the best men’s single players will be in Paris in October to fight for the title. One we will have to watch closely is the recent world champion Kento Momota, who’s never grab the title in Paris but seems in a very good shape recently. Other players will try to stop him, among whom: Viktor Axelsen, Shi Yuqi, Chou Tien Chen, Chen Long… We’ll also have to watch closely the young Anders Antonsen, who reached the semifinals last year.

French players will be represented by Brice Leverdez, who is used to stoping the best from the firsts rounds.

Women's single

Every stars of the moment will be there. Of course, the French public will cheer for Carolina Marin, double world champion and Olympic champion. Among the favorites, Pusarla V. Sindhu will certainly be hungry for victories, being used to finishing second in the lasts tournament. No doubt she will try to finally grab the title. Tai Tzu Yin g will also be among the favorites, as well as the young He Bingjao or Nozomi Okuhara.

Men's Doubles

Will Mathias Boe and Carsten Mogensen win their 4th crown in Paris? Be sure that the Parisian public will cheer for them. But they will have to watch carefully to opponents such as:  world n°1 Gideon/Sukamuljo, Li/Liu, Kamura/Sonoda or the 2017 winners Lee/Lee (Chinese Taipei).

Women's doubles

The French public will surely miss Kamilla Rytter Juhl and Christinna Pedersen who recently announced Kamilla’s pregnancy. Europe will however be represented by the European champions Gabriela and Stefani Stoeva. They will face the whole Asian armada. Greysia Polii and Apriyani Rahayu will try to keep their 2017 title. Disappointed last year, the Chinese pairs will come back for revenge this year.

Mixed doubles

Last year winners’ Tontowi Ahmad et Liliyana Natsir will be there this year, looking for a second victory. They will have to be careful to Chinese Zheng/Wuang and Wang/Huang. From the European side, Chris and Gaby Adcocks or Mathias Christiansen and Christianna Pedersen will surely set the public alight.

The best players, a new show within the arena, a bigger fan zone… Get ready to an Ultra Show! See you in Paris Coubertin, from 23th to 28th October.
