Semi-finals : Danish Boe and Mogensen toward a 4th final in Paris
Mixed doubles
The 4th seed, the Indonesians Ahmad/Natsir competed against the 6th seed Zhang/Li. The Indonesian pair qualified into the Final in two straight games. That match wasn’t long, indeed, the 4th seed managed to finish points quickly. They played a very efficient game that allowed them to get into the Finals without big struggle. Their recover won’t be too hard for tomorrow hopefully! Score: 21-18 21-8.
Christina Pedersen and Mathias Christiansen, Danish players who had a huge support from the public yesterday made their entrance. They faced the titleholders, the Chinese Zheng/Chen. What a match! It was unbelievable to see how the Danish pair are working good. Their association is recent but allow them to be the 4 last pair battling out. This is really promising for Denmark.
Women’s doubles
On the 2nd court, the Korean pair Lee/Shin was better than the Japanese Matsumoto/Nagahara. They managed to keep calm whereas their opponents seemed unsettled in the court: easy mistakes, and no efficient communication. Score: 21-12 21-14. The Koreans will be there tomorrow to dispute the Final of the French Open.
On the center court, the titleholders made their entrance. The Chinese pair Chen/Jia has been playing together for quite a long time, and their association works pretty well. Today both girls were not so focused on their match. Their opponents, the Indonesian pair Polii/Rahayu imposed their game at the very beginning and until the end. What happened? We guessed that the tactic chosen by the Indonesians worked. Indeed, their opponents had no solutions! The Score is speaking itself: 21-10 21-5
Women’s single
The no 1. Tai Tzu Ying was up against the Chinese He Bingjiao. Both girls are known for their resilience in match. In fact, they offered a three sets match to the public. Points were long and both girls seemed exhausted after the match! The player from Chinese Taipei will play tomorrow for her first final at the French Open. The Indian player, Pursarla V. Sindhu made her entrance on court with the public’s support. Unfortunately, we won’t see her tomorrow. Her opponent, the Japanese Akane Yamaguchi had a great defense as she said. Score: 21-14 21-10
Men’s single
The young Antonsen who made a huge surprise during the French Open, by beating Chen Long, played his match in front of a crowd on fire. His opponent, the Japanese Kenta Nishimoto stopped his momentum of success. Indeed, he played particularly well today. And yet, the Japanese qualify yesterday at past midnight. It was the last match of the day and it finished at 1am. Even with this, he managed to recover well and qualify for the final by beating the twenty years of age, Anders Antonsen. He said he was extremely disappointed of his performance. But he knows that it is a great tournament for him. Twenty years old and being at the semi-finals of his first superseries tournament.
A full Indian match where Srikanth Kidambi and Prannoy H. S. met, both wanting to reach the final. It was real struggle in the 2nd court: Both players gave their best on this one. At the end, Srikanth Kidambi is the triumphant. It is a good moment that they shared together. Both players congratulates each other with lots of humility.
Men's double
The Chinese pair Liu/Zhang, 5th seed met the pair from Chinese Taipei, (8th seed) Lee/Lee. What a match! It was close. In three sets match, the players from Taipei were triumphant this time. Score: 19-21 21-13 21-19
The other semi finals match was the Danish pair Boe/Mogensen up against the Chinese He/Tan. It was an amazing match that people witnessed. The Danish players qualified for other final once again in Paris. They were by far the favorite. They said they appreciate so much public’s support. It helps them to win the match point. A two straight game match only, which will help them to recover faster for tomorrow. Score: 21-18 21-19
