Press conference : the players are ready to shine !

At the very beginning of the French Open, few players gave their impressions after the Denmark Open but also their ambitions here in Paris. All of them claim that they were glad to be here in Paris for this competition. They all seemed to like the French public. Questions begin with the Indian single player.

The french players are ready...

The French players are feeling performing well and they shared it ! First, the best French player of the moment Brice Leverdez went back over his recent performance against the legend Lee Chong Wei, which gave him a lot of confidence. Will he be able to do this kind of achievement again here in Paris? The 31 years of age has to deal with pressure first. He evoked that he’s trying hard to stay relax all over the years and to keep his calm on the courts. He is now ready to share great moments with the French public in Paris: “It is a real pleasure to play in Paris”

The French mixed double finally gave its speech. The two players went back on their performance during the Denmark Open during which they reached the Quarter Final. “It was an amazing match” Indeed, they have been through the Chinese pair, ranked at number 2 with a crazy score (21-19, 30-29). This is promising for both players. Let’s see what they are going to achieve in their home country!

and so are the superstars !

The first one to give her feelings was Pusarla V.Sindhu from India. She was really thrilled to be the face of the Yonex French Open and shared her joy to be here. Indeed, after her performance in the last Olympics in Rio but more recently the World Championship in Glasgow, where she claimed two silver medals, her sporting season looks promising. She seemed very motivated to keep going this way by winning gold this time.

The Olympic champion Carolina Marin is ready to get back on courts and win more titles. She was indeed out of court pretty much since the Olympics in Rio because of an injury that appears even before the Olympics. Today, she reassured us telling that she has been feeling quite well the last few months and appears in a good shape. Indeed, she has been training hard to come back on track and seemed optimistic for this competition. She ended by telling that it is a pleasure for her to play in France as she likes the French public spirit.

The Thai player, Ratchanaok Intanon talked a lot about her win yesterday in Odense, against the Japanese Akane Yamaguchi by 3 sets. How promising is this! We look forward to seeing her on the French courts.
