The French open's sustainable engagement rewarded

The wish of the french federation to organise a sustainable event during the french Open has been rewarded today with the delivering of the label from the french sport movement.

This label certify the wish of the organising comitee to join the movement of the several french sport events involved in the sustainable development. In january 2017, the french federation signed the charter "15 commitments for eco-friendly sports events" at the Sport Ministy. This way, the Yonex French Open settle itself among great sports events organised in France such as Roland Garros, the Tour de France or Paris 2024 bid comitee.

Organizing a ecofriendly tournament as become a real goal for the french federation. Among the different themes to focus on : food and responsible supply, waste recycling, low consumption of energy and water, sustainable transports, men and women equalit, solidarity and more...
